The 2018 Farmers Markets that we participated in have come to a close and Roamstead Naturals would like to thank everyone for taking the time to join us at our local markets in Salisbury Center, Caroga Lake, and Johnstown, NY. Though we were sorry we weren’t able to participate more in Salisbury Center, we felt the Johnstown and Caroga Lake markets were a successful first season for our family business.
Thanks to every person who stopped by our booth, tried our free samples, and bought our handmade mini-heart and bar soaps. It was a pleasure to meet so many friendly people and it was very encouraging that a lot of our new customers gave us such positive reviews about our Handcrafted Goat Milk Castile Soap. We are glad you loved our unscented soap bars and thank you so much for your feedback. It was very rewarding to hear you and your children say you like our soap and that you gave the soap as a gift to friends and family.
We enjoyed the opportunity to teach about real soap and how to clean with it in various ways. It was so nice that some of you were interested in trying the soap to wash other things beside your face and body, and your willingness to try it on your sweet, market-going dog pals, and your summer laundry. We were glad campers and lake visitors told us you chose to buy our soap because the ingredients are pure, organic, and biodegradable. We were especially reminded of the importance of non-toxic, environmentally friendly products when we were visited by some outgoing ducks one Friday at the Caroga Lake market!
We also appreciate everyone’s patience with our children’s first time as cashiers. They learned valuable work skills like customer service, stocking and displaying inventory, and counting back change the old fashioned way. It was really a motivator to them when many of you complimented their ability to calculate prices, sales tax, and count back change. Thank you for encouraging them!
We are thankful we had the opportunity to participate in the Fulton Montgomery Farmers Market Association and appreciate all the other farmers and vendors who helped make this season enjoyable and a success. Many thanks go to Bryan for making the Indoor Market available to sell our soap during the fall and holiday season. Shhhh, don’t tell anyone, but we’ve heard our soap will be Christmas presents and stocking stuffers this year!
We are truly grateful to all of you for making it a good season and we hope to see you again next year! If you run out before then, please order more soap here, or you can contact us for an appointment to pick some up at our farm, or you can shop at the Indoor Market, 18 West Main Street, Johnstown, NY where you will find many goodies from a lot of the sellers you saw at the farmers markets in Caroga Lake, Gloversville, and Johnstown.
Have a nice day!
UPDATE: (11/14/18) Roamstead Naturals Handcrafted Goat Milk Castile Soap is no longer available at the Indoor Market but you can still find a lot of other goodies there. If you are looking for our soap in the Johnstown, Gloversville, Caroga Lake area please check out our local store directory.
